Dr scott PeddieDr Scott Peddie        Scott has a BSc in Zoology (Marine & Fisheries Biology), an MSc in Aquaculture Business Management, a PhD in Fish Health/Immunology, is a chartered biologist (CBiol MIBiol) and member of the Institute of Fisheries Management (MIFM) in the UK. He has held a range of positions in the Scottish, Norwegian, Irish and New Zealand salmon farming industries and has also worked as an Animal Health Economist at the Scottish Agricultural College.

Scott is currently a partner and senior consultant in a UK-based aquaculture consultancy business, Patterson Peddie Consulting.

In addition to publishing a number of papers and articles on a wide range of fish health and aquaculture business management related topics, Scott has been an invited speaker at events held in Canada, New Zealand, Scotland and Turkey. Email

Keith Ingram    Keith Ingram is a professional mariner with some 40 years of sea-going experience operating all types of vessels. He is co-owner of VIP Publications limited, and publisher, editor, feature writer and photographer for Professional Skipper Magazine, NZ Aquaculture Magazine and NZ Workboat Review. Professional Skipper magazine, established in 1996 has grown from modest beginnings to a point where it is now recognised as one of the leading marine trade professional magazines in Oceania.

The company also published the book Saltwater in Her Hair and has a number of other books or new releases in the development stage.

Keith is a Past President and Life Member of the New Zealand Marine Transport Assn and a consultant to the marine industry. He is also a marine assessor for the Transport Accident Investigation Commission.

Keith 's writing career started 20 years ago as a contributing fishing writer for NZ Fishing News. He went on to become the Field Editor for Boating New Zealand, a position he held for 10 years. During this time he also worked as a freelance travel writer for a number of travel companies specialising in Pacific fishing destinations and cruising.

Keith still writes in his matter-of-fact, no-nonsense style, and travels extensively doing research and writing for his own publications and client promotional features. Email
